Description
Stripe Spike Gremlins Prosthetic
The Stripe Spike Gremlins Prosthetic is a detailed creation inspired by the iconic Gremlins, complete with spikes, stripes, and Mow Hark-style elements. Please note that the ears, hands, eyes, teeth, and costumes are sold separately.
While the prosthetic may come with minor patching to address defects and slight discoloration, it is easy to paint over, ensuring a flawless final look for your cosplay or themed event.
Material Options:
-
Rubber Latex – This basic style is a hollow piece that can be filled with cotton wool if needed. It comes in a plain latex tone.
-
Foam Latex – A more advanced option, foam latex is lighter, more durable, and provides a better fit. It’s easier to wear for extended periods and holds its shape better over time.
Differences between the materials are described in the FAQ. I also discuss them in this video.
Breathing Holes: There are breathing holes in the nostril area. You can adjust these by creating additional holes with scissors if necessary.

Painting & Adhesive Options
-
Painting: Since these masks are sold unpainted, you can paint them using grease paints, acrylics, Pax paints, or water-based colors.
-
Adhesive: Use adhesives like Spirit Gum, Aqua FX (budget-friendly), or Pros-Aide (for long-wear). Pros-Aide and its cream form also help blend edges and can be mixed with acrylic to create Pax paint.
How to Apply Latex
-
Position the prosthetic and trim it to fit if necessary.
-
Apply adhesive on both the prosthetic and your skin.
-
Add cotton wool to bulk up any hollow areas if needed.
-
Press the prosthetic into place once the adhesive is tacky.
-
Use more adhesive or latex around the edges to blend.
-
Powder the prosthetic to remove shine.
-
Paint to match your skin tone or create fantasy designs as desired.
Post-Purchase Care (Latex)
-
Remove the mask with an oil-based remover and clean it with a makeup cleanser.
-
For tougher stains, use white spirit or IPA.
-
Always test adhesives and paints on a small area to check for allergies.
